Chardham Yatra
The Chardham Yatra is one of Hinduism's most significant pilgrimage circuits, climbing through the Himalayas to four sacred shrines — Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath. The journey itself, through mountain roads and river valleys via Rishikesh and Haridwar, is as meaningful as the shrines themselves. Stays are simple and pilgrimage-focused, especially near the higher shrines, and the trip calls for reasonable fitness and flexibility around weather and season.
ClimateHigh-Himalayan pilgrimage route — snowbound much of the year, cool even in season.
