Jammu

Jammu is best known as the gateway to Vaishno Devi, one of India's most-visited pilgrimage treks, but the city itself has its own quieter charms — the riverside Bahu Fort, the grand Raghunath Temple, and hill stations like Patnitop within reach. Stays range from simple pilgrim lodges near the shrine route to more comfortable city hotels, suiting devotees and travellers heading further into Jammu & Kashmir alike.
