Munnar

Munnar is Kerala's tea country at its most photogenic — endless manicured tea gardens rolling over hills, mist settling in every morning, and a coolness in the air unusual for South India. Eravikulam's rare Nilgiri Tahr and the boating lakes at Mattupetty and Kundala give structure to a few unhurried days. Resorts and homestays here often sit right inside or beside the plantations, making the tea-garden view part of the stay itself — a favourite for honeymooners and families alike.
ClimateHigh-altitude tea-country hill station — cool year-round, cold in winter.
